Abstract Heart Pin

Created this using polymer clay, which I am experimenting with in numerous ways. I've learned over the past few weeks that it can be tricky to handle and can be rather finicky.

A large natural pearl is at the center of this shell like heart.

Dragon in the Works

This dragon mural is a bit smaller than the unicorn mural. He's still in his infancy but coming along nicely. I definitely have a few alterations to make...

A Unicorn Mural: From My Wall to Yours...

I'm working on a hand painted mural that can be easily and neatly installed on the smooth wall of a purchaser's home with just a little border paste. It can also be easily removed at will without damaging the wall--a plus if one thinks their child may outgrow it or if they'd like to pass it on. A removable/reusable mural is also beneficial if one is renting and cannot have a mural painted directly on the wall.

This mural is in progress. (As a matter of fact, in these photos the paint is still wet!)

Again it isn't finished yet, but one can clearly see its lively subject: a unicorn. (I need to finish the background, his horn, add a mane and tail, feather his legs, etc. and the beginnings of a castle may or may not remain.) The mural in its entirety is approximately 6' by 6'. The colors are predominantly cool shades of blue with white.

"Soaring" Mixed Media Project

This mixed media collage is being applied to a 12x12 inch finished artist canvas and will be ready to hang as is, unframed, when complete. It is currently a work in progress and will eventually be available for purchase.

It is incomplete as shown, and will feature a woman newly soaring into her life, creativity, Self. She carries an egg, a symbol of her potential. Watching is a young woman (bottom left) perhaps ready to embark on her own journey to Self, longing to be free and questioning the validity of her longing, as well as two more traditional, stoic onlookers (bottom right) averse to change and anything different from the norm. The collaged text that makes up the backgrounds, hundreds upon hundreds of words, reflects the thoughts and feelings of these three factions.

Custom T-Shirt Design

The front implores "Why?" and the back of the shirt offers a clear explanation.

The woman's tears are Austrian crystals (5).

The design and words are collaged from various fabrics.

Original Boudoir Pillow

This original blue velvet boudoir pillow/sachet features an original collage of a 1920's nude woman set against an Arts and Crafts Style background. It is sewn almost entirely by hand, and there are glass bead and silk embroidered details.

Femine and fragrant, it is filled with hypo-allergenic polyfill and organic rose petals and lavender buds for a soothing, non perfumey bouquet.

Dark Valentine Shrine to New Love

SOLD This little matchbox shrine is about diving into a new relationship with a somewhat bruised heart... The "crown" of matches at the top is an invitation to set love aflame. Inside the textured, bronze colored box is the heart... a rusty antique nail embedded in one lobe... an old chain of love wrapped about it...

But it is an honest (and humorous) offering of the heart. Who among us hasn't been a bit wounded by relationships yet still have the gumption to offer our hearts again?

Winged Woman Waiting

Recently sold. This mixed media collage is of a winged woman anxiously waiting for a bus. She has forgotten, as we all sometimes do, that she has her own wings and power to fly. It features the vintage image of a woman, paint, pastels, colored pencil, all on a backdrop of antique music.
